Nobel laureate Rudolph Marcus dies at 102
Rudolph Marcus, Caltech chemist and 1992 Nobel Prize winner for his theory of electron transfer reactions, died at age 102 at his home in Pasadena, California. His death was announced by Caltech, where he had taught since 1978. Marcus developed his theory in 1955 while at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.
