£20m project upgrades Norfolk Broads pumping stations
A £20m project is upgrading 11 pumping stations in the Upper Thurne catchment to improve flood defences in the Norfolk Broads. The upgrades will increase pumping capacity by 50%, protecting over 700 properties and 15,500 acres of nature sites from storm surges, extreme rainfall, and rising sea levels.
