Court rules man violated Civil Rights Act in anti-trans assault
A New Hampshire court ruled Travis Lufkin violated the state's Civil Rights Act in a bias-motivated assault on a transgender woman at her workplace in Concord. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and barred from coming within 350 feet of her, her home, or her workplace for three years. A $5,000 civil fine was imposed, with $4,000 suspended.
