Kim Jong-un vows to deepen alliance with Russia amid Ukraine war
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un pledged to expand military and economic cooperation with Russia in a letter to President Vladimir Putin. The message reaffirms Pyongyang's support for Moscow's war in Ukraine, following a strategic partnership treaty signed in June 2024. South Korea's spy agency estimates approximately 6,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded since troops were sent to support Moscow.
