A Louisiana jury awarded $1.1bn to Pamela Elaine Lockridge for childhood molestation by her late stepfather in the 1960s-70s. The verdict includes $500m for pain and suffering and $600m in punitive damages. Her attorney expects a settlement with the estate rather than full collection.
