A24's 'Backrooms' has earned $100 million at the domestic box office after less than a week in theaters, surpassing 'Marty Supreme' ($96M) as the studio's highest-grossing film. The film opened with $81.5 million in the U.S. and Canada and $118 million worldwide, marking A24's biggest opening weekend. Director Kane Parsons, a 20-year-old YouTuber, became the youngest filmmaker to top the box office.
