Manitoba nurses union urges immediate formation of ratio committee
The Manitoba Nurses Union is pressing the provincial government to quickly establish the committee to implement nurse-to-patient ratios after legislation passed this week. Union president Darlene Jackson said the committee should already be in place. A subcommittee recommended ratios including one nurse per 2-3 emergency department patients.
